Blue Ridge Fly Fishing Outing
October 10-11, 2009
Imagine a flyfishing competition, a casting competition and a family day hosted on almost two miles of pristine trout water set in beautiful Spruce Pine.NC.
This event is scheduled for October 10th and 11th on private waters at Rivers Edge in Spruce Pine, N.C.
Day one is family day starting with a casting competition, free fly tying, casting classes and on the water instruction.
After lunch, the general public may pair up with a guide to fish the private waters . The rod fee is $175.
Saturday night is the banquet, raffle, and silent auction. This is open to the general public.
Day two starts bright and early with our veteran fishing event. 16 vets will pair up with professional guides for some friendly competition. Winners receive a tropy.
Please help by sponsoring a pro vet team, making a cash donation, signing up for the non veteran tournament or donating items for our raffle. All fees and/or merchandise are tax deductable. All proceeds go to equipment purchases for PHW programs and funding free fishing outings for the diabled active duty military personnel and veterans.
