Waynesboro Show a Success

Our show in Waynesboro, VA turned out very well. We raised around 600 dollars but even more important we made some new friends and some good connections.

Chris Rowland,Josh Williams,David Sesser,Phil & Nancy Johnson, Lisa Whitehead, Emily(Chris's girlfriend) and myself worked Saturday and Sunday. Chris,Josh and David were there about 7AM to set up the booth and put out the material. Phil&Nancy and myself got there around 11:30 after dropping my boat off in Richmond for the shad fishing trip.

There was a HUGE crowd on Saturday and a good crowd on Sunday. Everybody but myself attended the banquet Saturday evening. I had dinner with Carl Craig of FFB who is making our PHW reels and associated products. Our reels will be ready and at the 2Fly on May 4th.

People were really happy to offer our organization help. I met the fellow who has offered us his place in Montana. This is the fellow Chris introduced to PHW. We also met a former Viet Nam vet from Air Cav. He and Josh bonded and he wants to donate time and surplus fly fishing material. He hopes to come to the 2fly and work with Ed at Walter Reed.

We also met a couple who has land on Sinking Creek and offered it to the Salem VA. Walt of Walt's Poppers wants to help and will be at the 2Fly.

I would like to thank all the people that helped they really are good soldiers for PHW.
