Volunteer Matt Seymour checks in with an update from our Coatesville, PA Program below:
We had a break in our weekly schedule last week. Project Healing Waters sat out a week to make way for Coatesville VAMC’s Veterans Week Activities. It wasn’t easy.
When we don’t see our vets the whole week seems out of balance, a little blah. These guys and ladies have become comrades and not being in touch, even for a week, is a bit of a downer.
But, last evening we had 11 vets, four of them new to the program! This indicates not only the need for this kind of activity but also is a measure of the attachment our 10 volunteers have to our participants.
