NETWORK FOR GOOD FUNDRAISING PAGE
Bobby Jacinto and the New Jersey Region used their Network for Good Fundraising Page to raise funds for the NJ Region Programs to supplement costs related to outings and equipment.
“Using the Network for Good Fundraising Page was a very satisfying experience for donors, volunteers, and participants. Plus, 100% of funds we raised will be spent on outings and equipment for our participants!”
In addition to raising crucial funds for all programs in the New Jersey Region, using the NFG Fundraising Page helped us host disabled veterans on the North Branch of the Raritan River for a day of fly fishing!
This was the first time the New Jersey Region used their NFG Fundraising Page. To prepare, he began by planning the outing to the North Branch of the Raritan River and proceeded to dedicate a few hours a week to coordinating the fundraiser. He did this about 2 – 3 weeks prior to launching the fundraiser on NFG.
After the initial planning, execution was easy. Bobby contacted PHWFF HQ and took 1-2 weeks to test their NFG Fundraising Page and a few days to draft a message they could send to potential donors with the NFG link.
He then assembled a team of 5 volunteers to assist in finding donor leads and began holding weekly status meetings with his team. Throughout the fundraiser, Bobby followed best practices to set him up for success. He informed and inspired with a call to action; stayed involved with prospective donors; presented a strong call-to-action with the NFG link; and tracked his goals.
The New Jersey Region used their NFG Fundraising Page to raise over $21,000 in less than 2 months!
Here are 5 key tips Bobby would give to a program interested in using their NFG Fundraising Page:
By the end of the fundraiser, the New Jersey Region had raised over $21,000 – which is more than what they had planned for! Because of its success, and the ease involved in its creation and management, the New Jersey Region could supplement budgets for outings and equipment AND hosted an outing on the North Branch of the Raritan River! This easy fundraising tool made them confident that they would be able to continue to use Network for Good to help fund events for veterans from their local community.
