Angler’s Covey and the Royal Gorge Anglers are pleased to announce the 10th Annual Fly Fishing Film Tour to be held on February 3, 2018 at the Stargazers Theater in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The evening serves as a benefit for Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing’s Colorado Springs program and the disabled active duty service members and disabled veterans they serve in the community.  Doors open at 5 pm and the films will start at 6:30 pm. In addition to the fantastic films, the event includes a live auction, silent auction and a raffle of guided trips, equipment, unique art work and much more. Food and drink will be available for purchase at the event.

The PHWFF program in Colorado Springs conducts year-round fly fishing activities for the participants – fly tying, rod building, and fishing classes as well as over 45 fishing trips per year.

“The annual Fly Fishing Film Tour fundraiser presented by the Anglers Covey and Royal Gorge Anglers provides a significant portion of our local program’s annual budget. This event funds the equipment, supplies, trip costs and other expenses associated with providing our disabled veteran participants year-round fly fishing opportunities, in the classroom and on the water. For our disabled participants, fly fishing can become more than a sport, it can enable reconnecting with their community and our beautiful outdoors as part of their healing journey,” says Kiley Battaglin, Program Lead of the Colorado Springs Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing program.

The original and preeminent exhibition of fly fishing cinema, the F3T is a one of a kind experience. Each year fishy folk of all ages gather in big cities and small towns alike to soak up films from around the world, spin a few yarns amongst friends and dream about casts yet unmade. In the 12th annual lap around the globe, the 2018 Fly Fishing Film Tour will make its way to theaters in more than 175 cities in eight countries. With an emphasis on the stories, characters and fisheries that help make up the vast world of fly fishing, the 2018 F3T will take you from Michigan to Honduras, from Wyoming to Greenland, from the mind of child to the heart of a musician, from the edge of your seat to the end of the earth and back!  (You can watch the teaser of this year’s F3T line-up in the video below)

Tickets can be purchased in advance at both Angler’s Covey and Royal Gorge Anglers for $15 and online for $15 at http://anglers-covey.shoplightspeed.com/ac-non-revenue-fly-fishing-film-tour-2018-tickets.html  Tickets will also be available at the door for $20.
