Each day brought challenging fishing, great meals (provided by local restaurants and American Legion Post 208), and lots of wonderful opportunities for the veterans to share experiences and fishing techniques.
On September 20, 2016, eight teams of veterans and volunteers gathered for two days of fly fishing on Virginia’s Big Cedar River
This made for a terrific event at Riverbound Extreme, a place whose support for PHWFF and the veterans we serve is deeply rooted – outings and events have taken place there since 2006! This year was particularly special as everyone caught fish (some caught over 25!).
