FREDERICK, MD, October 13, 2018 – Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF) is excited to announce the launch of its Frederick, MD Program and will hold it’s first open house on October 23, 2018 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and provide information on our program and activities.
“Our disabled veterans have served us and now it is our turn to serve them,” said Dave Wooster, Frederick Program Lead for PHWFF.
PHWFF is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing and associated activities including education and outings at no cost to participants. The program provides basic fly fishing education, fly casting, fly tying and fly rod building classes along with outings to participants whose skills range from beginners who have never fished before, to those with prior fly fishing experience. All fly fishing equipment and supplies are provided to participants at no cost.
The open house will take place at Trinity United Methodist Church, 703 W Patrick St, Frederick, MD 21701. Parking will be available onsite.
