On April 24, 2017 The Roanoke and New River Valleys Program of PHWFF recognized a major supporter, the James A. Meador Foundation, for their generous donations over the past three years. The presentation was made by Kathy  Mueller, Acting Program Lead for the Roanoke and New River Valleys Program to Cathie Thomas, President of the James A Meador Foundation and her assistant Jon Wilson.  She was  presented with a collage of pictures of the programs veteran participants and volunteers in a variety of core program activities.  It also included a thank you note signed by many of the participants and volunteers of the local program. During the presentation, the PHWFF representatives related the personal journeys of each disabled veteran pictured and those who signed the thank you note.  The James A. Meador Foundation has been the key contributor to the local program with three years of donations totaling $16,000.  We’re honored by their tremendous support of our cause and the veterans we serve.
