The PHW Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Jim Knowlton, COL, U.S. Army (Ret.), as Chief Executive Officer of Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc.

Following a deliberate and comprehensive search, the Board unanimously selected Jim for his proven leadership, depth of service, and strong alignment with PHW’s mission and values. Across a distinguished career, he has consistently led with integrity, strengthened communities, and delivered results in complex, mission-driven environments – capabilities that will sustain and advance PHW’s national impacts.

The Board is confident in Jim’s ability to build upon PHW’s strong, enduring foundation, while guiding the organization into its next chapter with clarity, discipline, and purpose. His leadership will ensure continuity of our legacy and an unwavering focus on Veteran healing through the therapeutic art of fly fishing, while positioning PHW for continued strength and growth.

We extend our full confidence and support to Jim as he assumes this role and leads PHW forward.

Please join us in welcoming Jim to the PHW community.
