IRA QCD
A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from an IRA is a cash transfer. The IRA custodian liquidates the required amount from your account investments and sends it as cash via a direct check or an electronic wire/transfer to the charity.
You cannot transfer shares of stock “in-kind” directly from an IRA as a QCD.
