Each year, Mark Trimmer competes in the ‘World’s Toughest Mudder” – a 24 hour obstacle course race on Lake Las Vegas. We are proud and honored to announce that Mr. Trimmer has generously selected the Colorado Springs Program of Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF) as his beneficiary organization for the 2017 competition! It will take place on November 11 – 12, 2017 on Lake Las Vegas in Henderson, Nevada. Last year, Mark honored 50 U.S. military veterans informally during the race and due to this experience, and his respect for those who have served our country, he decided to make this year’s race about veterans we serve. With each donation made, Mark would like to honor someone you know or knew who is or was an active duty military member or veteran. By providing their name and service along with your donation, Mark will put their name on a flag which will be used during the race; we are giving you the unique chance to honor a veteran AND support our cause simultaneously! With your help, we can continue to provide the veterans we serve with the support they need on their journeys to recovery.
The “World’s Toughest Mudder” will be aired on CBS (CBS Sports) on 12/23/17 at 12pm EST. World’s Toughest Mudder is billed as the “most extreme, insane, imposing, pulse-pounding, heart-stopping 24- hour obstacle course challenge on the plant.” We wish Mark all the best during the race – we’ll be rooting for him!
