On Wednesday October 24, Project Healing Water Anchorage Program helped support Alaska Department of Fish and Game Hernandez Sport Fish Hatchery’s first ever Spooky Tales event.  The Anchorage Program holds its weekly meetings at the hatchery and was thrilled to be able to give back and support this new event.  Located adjacent to Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, the Hatchery’s event drew a crowd of over 500 eager kids and parents who learned about hatchery life, fish dissection, bugs, fishing, and of course fly tying.  With orange marabou and UV flashy orange and black chenille working their magic, halloweeners tied spooky Wooly Buggers that they and their parents took home in anticipation of families catching fish next year!
