Following the picnic at Green Lake on May 30st, the Alaska Region casting competition was held.   The contestants included Rick Knight, representing Wasilla, and Dave Widby representing Anchorage. Rick Knight placed first and Dave Widby placed second. Congratulations to both of you!

Both individuals won an all expense paid trip to Bozeman Montana to attend the Fly Fishers International Expo in July where they will compete against eighteen other regional champions. The other Alaska program casters included Bashar and Marcos.  Congratulations to all as you continue to improve and refine your fly casting.
