PHWFF Coatesville PA Program Lead Matt Seymour shares an update about this great program in our Pennsylvania Region:

We finally got to wet a few lines with our vets at Paradise Farm Camps. We had 11 fishers – most of whom were casting a fly for for the first time:

If you take a close look you may be able to identify some of our faithful fly casting coaches: Betsy Miraglia, Sarge Speakman, Ed Penry, Heath Jones, John Dettrey, Matt Marran, & Ken Leung.
The highlight of the evening (for me at least) was watching Sarge convince one of our vets to lay down his casting rod and pick up a fly rod for the first time. Result: two fish quickly!
This Upcoming Week:

No tying in the Main Dining Hall on Tuesday but our regular scheduled Wednesday evening meeting from 6-8PM in Bldg 5 of the Coatesville VAMC. For those of you who haven’t had the pleasure of the vets’ company in a while – come join in the tying and fishing stories!
Thanks to all of you who make this delightful time possible!
