Volunteer Matt Seymour shares the latest happenings with our Coatesville, PA Program
On Wednesday night at the Medical Center we had 10 vets and 12 volunteers. The number of vets involved in rod building builds as the rods come in. One rod is complete and because of the equipment thatâs been gifted us in the last 4 years we are able to supply this vet wth a reel and line! The rod mentors (Jack, Charlie, Ken, & Ed) claim this class of vet-builders is better than any that preceded them.
Independence Advisors Dinner Presentation
While my colleagues from Coatesville were tying and rod-building Sarge Speakman, Thad Nowakowski and I were eating  dinner and enjoying a tantalizing presentation in King of Prussia. Our host, Charles Boinske, has been a generous supporter of all three Project Healing Waters Programs in our area for over 4 years. Charles is the CEO of Independence Advisors, LLC in Wayne. The eveningâs speaker, Cam Coffin, new owner of Blue Ribbon flies & Outfitters in West Yellowstone, teased us with pictures of how to enjoy the trout waters of Yellowstone!
Afterwards our host auctioned beautiful, one-of-a kind, handcrafted wooden fly box made by Dave “Dutch” Schultz. It was filled with killer flies for Montana. The proceeds from the auction, as well as donations made by Mr. Boinskeâs guests, were given to our three area Project Healing Waters Programs. And then Independence Advisors wrote a check that matched the fly box bid!
This, friends, reminds us of how the love of our sport merges with our desire to share this relaxation with our most needful vets. Â We sat in a room of generous hearts initiated by the generosity of one man. One good man.
