Chris Harris is a dedicated volunteer leader with Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing and currently serves as Director of Logistics & Field Support. For the past eight years, Chris has supported the Atlanta Program, helping veterans experience the therapeutic benefits of fly fishing, fly tying, mentorship, and community.
Inspired to begin fly fishing in 1992 after watching A River Runs Through It, Chris quickly developed a lifelong passion for the sport and began tying flies in 1993. His volunteer service with PHWFF began as a Fly Tying Instructor, where he shared decades of experience and helped countless participants learn the art and enjoyment of fly tying.
Chris later advanced to Assistant Program Lead for the Atlanta Program before being selected as Chair of the Field Advisory Committee in 2024. In 2025, he was appointed Deputy Regional Coordinator for the Southeast Region, providing leadership, guidance, and support to programs throughout the region.
In his professional career, Chris brings more than 30 years of information technology and business transformation experience. His expertise includes Enterprise Application Delivery, Strategic Planning, and Project, Program, and Portfolio Management. During the past twelve years he has focused primarily on the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry, leading complex enterprise initiatives and helping organizations align technology investments with strategic business objectives.
Chris credits much of his success and service to the unwavering support of his wife of 37 years, their three adult children, and two incredible granddaughters. He remains humbled by the opportunity to serve Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing and is committed to advancing its mission of healing those who serve through the restorative power of fly fishing.
