Josh comes to our organization with a unique and creative background. A Colorado native, he played lacrosse and graduated from Colorado College with an Art Studio degree which led to work building exhibits at the National Museum of Natural History at the Smithsonian Institution. His connection to lacrosse opened the door to joining the staff at US Lacrosse when established in 1998, and he proceeded to experience an extremely fulfilling 27-year career. During this time at the sport’s national governing body, Josh served in leadership positions to guide sport growth initiatives, the national chapter network, national events, coach/official education & training, national grant programs, and all operations of the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
For the final seven years, Josh fulfilled the USA Lacrosse Foundation role as the organization’s first Major Gift Officer, embracing the responsibility for the strategic oversight of relationships with major donor prospects, with a goal of inspiring new levels of engagement, commitment and philanthropic support.
Coming from a family of veterans, including a father who was a Naval Aviator during Vietnam, Josh and his family fully embrace, honor and support the commitment that our veterans have, and are, making while serving our beloved country. Living outside of Annapolis, Maryland, for over 20 years, his family has truly enjoyedparticipating as part of the United States Naval Academy Sponsor Program, to come alongside and support current Midshipmen as they traverse the challenges and life at the Academy and as officers in the fleet.
Josh currently resides in Davidsonville, Maryland with his wonderful wife Jody and their incredibly fun daughters Lida, Amelia, and Lillian. He is an avid fly angler and fly tier, and for over 20 years has enjoyed fishing rivers, lakes, and ponds across the country.
