Green Lake Family Fishing Picnic
On May 31st, Project Healing Waters Anchorage sponsored their annual Green Lake Family Fishing Picnic. Everyone had a marvelous time at the rustic Chalet. 
Some participants and volunteers spotted several black bears on their way to the Chalet but we were fortunate this year and didn’t have to chase them off the property like we did last year. The weather was perfect with just a light breeze so fishing proved to be very productive. No mosquitos either! Our chef, Bob Pawlowski, prepared hamburgers, hotdogs and king salmon! Oh what a treat! Kids and adults feasted on luscious cake, cookies, bars and triple berry cobbler. In addition to the casting competition, individuals challenged each other in the bean bag toss.

Thanks to everyone, volunteers and participants, who brought a dish to share. Also a special thanks to Dave Rooker who brought his fishing boat!
