On April 16th, numerous PHWFF volunteers associated with the Anchorage and Wasilla programs were recognized for their volunteer efforts during 2018 at the Annual Volunteer Recognition Ceremony on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson.  Twelve volunteers received Presidential Volunteer Service Awards that included a certificate of appreciation, a JBER Coin, and a special award pin.  Cindi Crawford, Josh Shearer, and John Thomas received the Bronze Award for volunteering 100 – 249 hours; Dale Aki, Dave Rooker, Mike Harsh, Duane McHenry and Bob Pawlowski received the Silver Award for volunteering 250 – 499 hours; and Leslie Holland-Bartels , Gary Eichhorn, Frank Stevens and Jan Schnorr received the Gold Award for volunteering more than 500 hours.

Charlie Hune and Damond Blankenship were recognized for volunteering more than 50 hours but less than 100 hours.  Congratulations and thanks to all the volunteers for donating time and helping to heal our service members and VA participants who have disabilities.
