The evening also will feature a cocktail hour with silent auction, seated dinner, a short program featuring two veteran guest speakers who will share their healing journey with PHWFF and how it fostered their physical and emotional recovery.
Now in its 3rd year, Healing on the Fly Boston has raised over $260,000 since its inception in 2017 enabling hundreds of disabled veterans to benefit from a program recognized as an innovative leader and model in the field of therapeutic outdoor recreation for the disabled.
This lovely annual event is being emcced by Captain Dave Marciano of National Geographic TV’s Wicked Tuna. Wicked Tuna’ takes viewers into the unrelenting North Atlantic waters infamously spotlighted by the novel-turned-feature film `The Perfect Storm’, to follow captains who are relied upon by their families, their shipmates, and by Gloucester itself, to haul in boatloads of the large but elusive bluefin.
For over a decade PHWFF has focused on healing those who serve. It is through the tremendous contributions of supporters and volunteers nationwide that PHWFF served over 8,300 deserving members of our armed services in 2018.
