For many years, Project Healing Waters has participated in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). The CFC is the official workplace giving campaign for federal employees and federal retirees. In 2021, monetary pledges for the entire CFC totaled nearly $78.1 million and more than 80,000 volunteer hours were pledged.
This year’s theme for the CFC is “You Can Be the Face of Change.” We want to raise awareness so that current federal employees and federal retirees know that they can choose PHW as a charity to support through the CFC. The campaign is currently ongoing, and ends on January 14, 2023.
Why is it important for our supporters to know that we participate in the CFC? By helping us to spread the word, federal employees and federal retirees will hear from someone they know and trust that PHW participates in the CFC, and they can choose us as a charity to support. Any funds raised from the CFC will allow us to offer additional healing opportunities for the Veterans we serve across the country.
So, how can you help? Spread the word! If you are a federal employee or federal retiree or know someone who is, let them know that PHW participates in the CFC! Our 5-digit code is 82526. If you see PHW share any CFC-related information, including this blog, on our social media, share, share, share!
If you are a federal employee, you can pledge an amount to be withheld regularly from your pay beginning in January of each year or make a one-time gift. In order to make a donation to Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, you must use our CFC code #82526. For more information, ask the CFC representative at your agency for a copy of the CFC pamphlet that is available each fall.
As always, PHW appreciates the support we receive to help increase the healing opportunities for all of the Veterans we serve. It does make a difference!
