a190d102-8b61-4f7e-ad7b-5b26428af01bThe 10th Annual 2-Fly Tournament at beautiful Rose River Farms to support Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing is being held April 30 – May 1, 2016. The fun kicks off with dinner under the stars Saturday night and Sunday sees fly fishing tournament action with PHWFF veteran participants from around the country compete, guided by industry professionals. Joining us for the weekend are numerous special guests and we’re very pleased to announce that renowned angler, Ed Jaworowski, will be among them!

Ed Jaworowski is a writer, photographer and an exceptional caster with a passion and a desire to share his skills with others. In addition to teaching casting and fly fishing for more than 30 years, Ed has authored 4 books – The CastTroubleshooting the CastPopFleyes and Essential Saltwater Flies. He also served as consultant and contributor to The Complete Book of Fly Fishing and his writings have been featured in over 200 publications and more than 20 angling periodicals here and abroad since 1977. He has more than 50 years of fly tying experience, has fished and conducted casting clinics around much of the western hemisphere, and is in demand as a speaker. Ed is making significant contributions to the design of TFO rods and related products and is assisting in the development of casting schools and other educational programs.
The pre-tournament dinner starts at 5pm on Saturday night April 30th under the stars in picturesque Madison County, Virginia.  Tom Brokaw will serve as the keynote speaker for the dinner at Rose River Farm.

For a little more than a decade Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF) has focused on healing those who serve.  It is through the tremendous contributions of our volunteers and supporters nationwide that last year we served over 7400 deserving members of our armed services.

Current participants in the Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing Program, and alumni, will also be on hand throughout the weekend to discuss the challenges facing today’s service members, both physical and emotional, and the impact PHWFF has had on their recovery and transition.

The tournament competition kicks off at 7:00 a.m. Sunday morning May 1st and features PHWFF participants from across the nation.  Military/veteran participants will be partnered with a professional fly fishing guide from among the most notable names in the sport.
