RALEIGH, N.C. (May 16, 2019) — Todd Desgrosseillers, president and CEO of Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing Inc. (PHWFF), joined the board of directors for Camp Corral, a nonprofit that provides a free week of summer camp for children of wounded, injured, ill or fallen military service members. PHWFF is a nationwide veteran service nonprofit organization dedicated to the physical and emotional recovery of disabled active duty servicemen and servicewomen, and disabled veterans through its innovative fly-fishing programs.

Desgrosseillers is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and infantry officer who served the U.S. for 31 years. Previously, he served as the Executive Officer for the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines – deploying in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004-2005. He is also a veteran of numerous other operations and 11 unit deployments overseas.

“We’re thrilled to have Todd join our board of directors,” said Leigh Longino, CEO of Camp Corral. “As a veteran himself, he has firsthand knowledge of the needs and services of our military families. His input and experience will help us continue to work towards providing the best service we can to military children and their families.”

His personal military decorations include the Silver Star Medal, two Bronze Star Medals both with Valor Devices, two Purple Heart Medals, two Meritorious Service Medals, three Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal and the Combat Action Ribbon.

Desgrosseillers holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Boston University and a master’s degree in military studies from the Marine Corps Command and Staff College. He also completed the National Security Fellowship at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and is a graduate of the Marine Corps Summer Mountain Leaders’ Course, and the Marine Corps Command and Staff College.

He is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Fly Fishers International, Academy of United States Veterans, and a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans, AMVETS, and The Military Order of the Purple Heart.

Camp Corral’s board of directors helps support the organization’s vision, mission and fund-raising goals. For more information about Camp Corral, visit www.campcorral.org.
