PHWFF Atlanta volunteer Cullen McClure shares an exciting update about this great program in our Georgia-South Carolina Region

PHWFF has been in Atlanta for the past ten years working exclusively with the SHARE Military Initiative which is part of the Shepherd Center. It is now time to expand the program in the ten county area of greater Atlanta. With the financial support from the community and additional fly fishing volunteers the expansion program is off to a great start.Saturday July 8th, Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing of Atlanta had an Open House to celebrate a new expansion program for disabled veterans. Over 43 veterans and 21 volunteers came together for hot dogs, and interactive demonstrations of tying flies, building fly rods, and fly casting.

Also the success of this endeavor was the result of other non-profits getting involved. Many thanks to Team RWB, Wounded Warriors Program, Upper Chattahoochee Trout Unlimited, and the Atlanta Fly Fishing Club.
