2019 PHWFF Pennsylvania Regional Fly Casting Competition Finalists
Participants from four PA programs ( Erie, Harrisburg-East, Kunkletown and Royersford ) gathered for our Regional Casting finals on Saturday, June 15th. For the second year in a row the competition was held at Penns Creek Lodge at Laurelton, PA and thankfully mother nature cooperated with fewer wind challenges.
Regional camaraderie was evident through out the competition as program leads and participants shared knowledge, advice and tips.
When the scoring was tallied, the 1st place and 4th place scores were separated only by 300 points. In fact the difference between 2nd and 3rd was only 20 points.
Congratulations to Darryl Mosher from Erie and Ed Transue from Kunkletown for placing 1st and 2nd respectively. Pennsylvania will be well represented at the National Finals in Bozeman next month.
