Volunteer Matt Seymour shares the latest happenings with our Coatesville, PA Program
Last Wednesday evening our Program attracted 7 vets and 13 volunteers. The PTSD domicile continues to attract the most attendees. Others come from campus who are being treated primarily for substance abuse. Still others are in a program that provides special training for re-entry in the job market. Some of our gang lives in a domicile where a portion of their benefits provide them a living space, a place from which thy can hold a job and that provides meals. We’re grateful VAMC is caring for them all.
The gang his week was back at “work” tying flies and building rods. Somewhere near the beginning of March we’ll begin to get some casting lessons in. Right now its just to darn dark out between 6-8pm.

So this week we said goodbye to Big Mike. Here he’s sitting with the Sage of South Dakota Ed Penry. Mike’s going home after building a fly rod which b entered into Project Healing Waters’ National Rod competition. He’s affable, focused and a great add to any conversation. We’ll miss him but know its time for him to go home. Best of luck, Big Mike!
