The Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF) Knoxville, Tennessee program wishes to thank the Clinch River chapter of Trout Unlimited for hosting the Smoky Mountain Grand Slam On-line Auction. The auction will run from November 18 through November 24, 2020.

PHWFF has meant the world to me. It not only put me in touch with fellow veterans in my area but it has also given me an outlet for anxiety. The have taught me a lot about the art form we call fly tying as well as fly fishing. Great organization and recommend to any fellow veteran.

Sgt. Joe Noe (retired), 100% Disabled

All the proceeds from this auction will benefit the PHWFF Knoxville program, which serves disabled veterans throughout the Eastern Tennessee.

Thanks to Robert Stack, our gracious benefactor, and other contributors McCarter’s Auction Inc. will be auctioning off a life-time of fly fishing equipment. Rods, reels, tippet and leader material and other fishing equipment. We also have approximately 1300 hand tied flies, all hand tied by only 3 individuals, nothing off the shelf. None of these flies have ever touched the water. The flies will be placed in premium fly boxes for easy bidding.

Thanks to the Clinch River Chapter of Trout Unlimited, all proceeds go towards supporting the physical and emotional recovery of our injured and disabled veterans.

So, give yourself or someone you love an early Christmas gift and also help our disabled heroes at the same time.

If it weren’t for PHWFF I would be dead by now. Steve Thompson, Program Lead of the Knoxville Program,  met me at the VA one day as I was getting ready for a Psych appointment. I was at the lowest point a person could be. I had already attemted suicide and if it werent for meeting him I was going to end it all. I gave him 50 reasons why I couldn’t do it and he had 51 reasons why I could.Well like they say “The Rest Is History”. I have turned my life around. I am now involved with Vet to Vet Tn and nationally, Have moved from Participant to Volunteer for our chapter, I have taught Fly Tying and Rod building, and have helped several vets in being a friend.
