In his words, “I recently took some personal leave to go back to my home state of Nebraska to visit family, friends and to help out with harvest on my families farm. While back in Nebraska, it worked out perfectly for me to visit the new PHWFF Heartland Regional Coordinator Denise Miller and the PHWFF Program in Lincoln Nebraska. I was privileged to be able to join them for one of their weekly instructional sessions that is held at a VA facility in Lincoln. During their class, PHWFF volunteer taught disabled veterans how to tie flies. I’m very proud that my home state of Nebraska has two active PHWFF Programs to include this one in Lincoln and another one in Omaha, NE. It was an honor to have spent time with these great volunteers and participants.” – David Folkerts, PHWFF Chief Operating Officer
