The Bozeman chapter of Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing will hold an event at Troutfitters Fly Shop at 1716 W. Main St. in Bozeman on Saturday Sept 29th from 10am until 3pm. There will be a fly tying demonstration by noted fly tier Bill Krise from 10- 1pm. Stop by to see Bill in action and to support your local disabled vets.
“Healing Saturday,” will take place at local fly shops and retailers across the country in cooperation with the local volunteer-run PHWFF programs. Through offering special opportunities like entertainment, food, and all-things fly fishing Healing Saturday will aid in supporting disabled veterans on their healing journey.
Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc. (PHWFF) is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans. PHWFF is unique in that volunteers teach classes on an on-going, long term basis. Program activities include fly fishing instruction, fly tying classes, fly casting workshops, rod building and fly fishing outings. In 2017, PHWFF Programs served over 8,400 disabled veterans at over 200+ locations nationwide.
