The Denver Program of PHWFF spent a very fun Monday on Jenna Lake near Hygiene, CO where they had an opportunity to fly-fish from a belly boat or from shore on a beautiful day.

Five participants and five volunteers met at Jenna Lake around 9 A.M. where co-leads Daryl Holcomb and Dave Mosnik paired each participant with a volunteer and set them up to either fish from shore or a boat. This outing was the second of eight trips planned this year by Dave Mosnik on Lake Jenna.

“Fly rods were used to catch blue gill, crappies, and bass in abundance,” Holcomb said.

Holcomb said his favorite part of the trip was watching participants experience float-tube fishing for the first time.

“Jenna Lake is fishing very well right now,” Holcomb claimed. “While numbers of fish were not the most important thing about this experience, numbers are one of the things that contributed to the experience, and it was a great experience!”

Holcomb was happy to thank Dave Mosnic, the host, for once again inviting PHWFF volunteers and participants to Jenna Lake for an excellent outdoor experience.
