Bear Owings of the PHWFF Charlotte, NC Program reports on their recent preparations for the delayed fall harvest fishing season.  The group has been steadily prepping for this great season through focusing on learning productive trout patterns and enhancing the participants knowledge of knots and fly rod rigging techniques during their regular classes at the Charlotte VA Medical Center.  You can see more of the great happenings with this program in our North Carolina Region by visiting their Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/GreaterCharlottePHWFF

We were back at it again today! Getting those fly boxes all filled up for the fall delayed harvest fishing season. We worked on tying up 3 easy to tie and often used trout fly patterns. We also had some knot tying and fly line rigging instruction. A special thanks to Jim Mackey, Acey Fiveash, John Lovsin and Steve Patterson for teaching the classes and spending some one on one time with each of the veterans. These veterans have given so much and are so eager to learn. I can’t wait till the next class!
