Dominion, a Richmond, Va. – based energy company with extensive operations in Pennsylvania, and Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing Inc. will host a dozen armed forces veterans receiving care at Veteran’s Hospitals for a three-day fishing trip to one of the most-storied trout streams in the nation – Spruce Creek at Evergreen Farms near State College.

Dominion and Project Healing Waters will bring 12 veterans from programs in Erie, Pittsburgh and Batavia, N.Y., to Spruce Creek to fly fish the same waters that have hosted U.S. Presidents Dwight Eisenhower and Jimmy Carter.

For the warriors, it will be a chance to set aside the limitations imposed by disabilities and illnesses and focus on enjoying the therapeutic powers of nature and fly fishing.

Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing Inc., founded in 2005, is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing and associated activities including education and outings.
