Veteran Service Organization will reschedule dinner
In response to the spread of the coronavirus in the United States, Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing has postponed its March 24th fundraising dinner: Healing on the Fly – Northern Virginia.
The annual event, which brings together partners, supporters, veterans and volunteers for a night of charity and celebration to support the recovery and rehabilitation of our Nation’s disabled veteransĀ will be rescheduled to a later date according to Todd Desgrosseiliers, President and CEO of Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF).
“Healing on the Fly – Northern Virginia is where we accomplish more than our fundraising goal.Ā It is an opportunity to celebrate our mission with our partners, supporters, veterans and volunteers. Therefore, their safety and well-being must be our primary consideration,ā says Todd Desgrosseilliers, āAs we explore options for new dates, please know that our priority is to bring you an amazing event honoring those who have served, and sacrificed for, our great Nation.”Ā
PHWFF joins a growing list of events recently cancelled due to coronavirus concerns including SXSW, Fox News’ upfront, Comcastās FreeWheel event, MIPTV, Bostonās St. Patrickās Day Parade, and the Mobile World Congress.
Numerous events and opportunities to support this top-tier Veteran Service Organization are scheduled for later this year.Ā Each will provide sponsors, friends, and patriots with the opportunity to come together in celebration and support of our Nationās disabled Veterans.Ā The 2nd Annual Southern Maryland Slam will be held on September 20, 2020 and followed shortly by Healing on the Fly – NYC on October 6th and Healing on the Fly – Boston on October 27, 2020.Ā For information on attending these special events please visit www.projecthealingwaters.org/fundraisers.
