We often find that the #1 thing preventing people from engaging with Project Healing Waters is that they haven’t heard of us yet. There’s a wide range of opportunities for such outreach, from participation in local events to engaging new media outlets, and it’s always nice to see how programs successfully use these channels! Recently, PHW Salt Lake City, through Mark West and Program Lead Steve Moritz, were published in the Utah Department of Veterans and Military Affairs newsletter, resulting in interest from dozens of new Veteran participants and volunteers.

Well done, PHW Salt Lake City! Keep up the great work, your efforts are an inspiration to the rest of us! And for those in other localities and regions, consider each of your methods of outreach: while something like this might be just the ticket, there are plenty of possible avenues of engagement. Keep it up so that the mission can continue to expand, and continue to succeed!
