Alaska Fall Fishing on the Kenai River

I could not have been more blessed to have spent September 16th on the Kenai River with 6 Project Healing Waters Alaska Program participants.

After a delicious dinner on Saturday, provided by Firehouse BBQ in Soldotna and a great night’s rest at Spruce Haven Lodge, the participants descended on the river on Sunday under the skillful guidance from Alaska Fishing and Lodging with Tyland VanLier and Damond Blankenship and Alaska Fishing Service with Kevin Thurman.

These companies and guides donated their services on this busy weekend outing.  Many rainbows, dolly Varden, red salmon, pink salmon, and even a few rocks were caught.
