Bangor Bowlathon to benefit disabled veterans in Maine on April 27, 2019

April 5, 2019 – Bangor, Maine – The inaugural Fishbowl Bowlathon will be held on Saturday, April 27 2019 at the Family Fun Bowling Center in Bangor, Maine. The event aims to raise awareness and funds for the Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF) program in Bangor Maine and enable this top-tier nonprofit organization to continue effectively serving those Mainers who made great sacrifices in the service of our Nation.

The Fishbowl Bowlathon will kick-off at noon and offer food, fun, great bowling, and a great selection of prizes donated by local businesses like Advance Auto (Newport ME), Natural Living Center, Texas Road House, Days Jewelers, Darlings Honda, Ski Rack, Miguels, Bullmoose, Jason Pizza, Emmersons, Mardens, and Kobe’s.  For more information or to register to bowl, please contact Carolyn Munster at 207-341-2174 or the Family Fun Bowling Center at 207-942-6701. PHWFF, a nationwide non-profit organization based in Maryland, is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing and associated activities including education and outings. PHWFF has over 200 highly successful, volunteer-run programs in Department of Defense hospitals, Warrior Transition Units, and Veterans Affairs Medical Centers and clinics across the United States.

Maine is home to 4 volunteer-run PHWFF programs who strive to serve those Mainers who made great sacrifices in the service of our Nation through this restorative and rehabilitative program. Proceeds from the evening will go to support the disabled veterans served by the Bangor, Maine program of PHWFF.
