Knoxville veterans enjoy a beautiful Spring day at Blackberry Farm

f05a7164-f1aa-4b25-8db3-59b876451786On March 23rd, 2016, veterans from the Knoxville, TN Program were treated to a beautiful spring day of fishing on Hesse Creek at picturesque Blackberry Farm in the Great Smoky Mountains.

Highlights from the day included the stunning scenery, tremendous fishery offered on Hesse Creek, and the great bonds forged between guides and participants during their time on the water.

“Some of the Country’s greatest fishing is right here in the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee. It was quite an experience to fly fish at the exclusive Blackberry Farm where the scenic views alone will have you grabbing for you camera. The veterans enjoyed fly fishing with an expert guide along the Hesse Creek. When they weren’t fishing they were able to relax and enjoy the camaraderie with other veterans.” – Robert Bogus III (USMC), Assistant Program Lead Knoxville, TN.
