Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc. continues in its phase three Engagement Plan by allowing multiple participant outdoor healing gatherings for eligible PHWFFF programs Nationwide.

On May 14, 2021, two participants and two volunteers from the PHWFF Parkersburg, WV program were able to get out on a private pond and catch some fish!

Sarah Holt, the Program Lead for the outing said the highlight of the day was seeing them able to reconnect and catch a lot of fish.

“As one of the volunteers said, ‘lies were told and fish were caught!’ so it was definitely a great activity,” said Holt.

Holt would also like to thank the owners of the private pond for letting PHWFF come out there and fish; as well as the volunteers who made all of it possible.

The Engagement Plan represents the culmination of eight months of effort by a working group composed of our volunteer leaders, headquarters’ staff, legal counsel, and insurance provider. As an organization, we continue to make each decision using current healthcare industry data with participant, volunteer, staff and community risk management and well-being remaining as our top priority.
