WATCH – West Virginia veterans experience the healing and camaraderie of Thornwood

“This was the 4th annual event at Thornwood led by Bubba Holt and Nathan Leasure. This years event was jam-packed with entomology lessons, shocking demos, fly tying, casting competitions, and some good ole story telling. It was a great time”
The West Virginia Region of Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing offers volunteer-run programs that teach classes on an on-going, long term basis. Offering much more than a one day fishing trip. For many disabled veteran participants, the socialization and camaraderie of the classes are just as important as the fishing outings.
