Derrick Dietz comes to Project Healing Waters after a 20 year Law Enforcement career and over 16 years with the US Army and Army Reserve.
Derrick began with PHWFF as a participant through the Ft Eustis, VA Warrior Transition Unit. He has served two deployments in Iraq and one state side tour in support of Afghanistan. After retiring from the military, he returned to his home in Wyoming. Derrick started a new PHWFF program serving Casper, WY and the surrounding area. He teaches rod building and participates in fly tying for PHWFF. He serves as a board member for the Wyoming Fly Casters, who support local PHWFF activities.
Derrick has two children. He also enjoys hunting and other outdoor activities.
