The Inaugural Healing on the Fly – Northern Virginia was held on March 26, 2019 at The Army Navy Country Club in Arlington, Virginia. Presented by CACI, the evening brought together veterans, anglers, and patriots for a night of charity and celebration.  The inspiring evening strengthened Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing’s efforts to bring their unique brand of healing to thousands of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans throughout the United States.

The evening featured a cocktail hour with silent auction, a seated dinner, and a remarkable short program emceed by Captain (ret) Eivind Forseth U.S. Army  The program featured powerful testimonials from PHWFF participants and alumni, a special presentation of the PHWFF Patriot Award to longtime volunteer leader George Gaines, and special remarks from CACI CEO Ken Asbury in addition to a live auction with many unique specialty items. It was a truly remarkable and inspiring evening.

For over a decade, Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing has focused on healing those who serve. Thanks to the incredible contributions of CACI, our sponsors, and all those in attendance the Inaugural Healing on the Fly – Northern Virginia was a great success.  It will directly aid in bringing PHWFF’s unique form of therapy to more injured and disabled veterans and active military than ever before.
