The McGuire VAMC Program has partnered with Green Top Sporting Goods in Ashland, Virginia to host a Healing Saturday Event on November 12, 2016 from 10am – 5pm. Healing Saturday is a nationwide annual event during our local volunteer-run PHWFF Programs work alongside local fly shops to raise awareness and funds for our cause. Through offering special opportunities like entertainment, food, and all-things fly fishing Healing Saturday will aide in supporting veterans on their journeys to physical, emotional, and spiritual health.Fly tying demonstrations will be provided by Program Participants and Volunteers throughout the day. In addition, there will be PHWFF logo branded items such as shirts, ball caps, buffs, and fly boxes available for a donation alongside information on how to join and participate in the PHWFF Program in Virginia. Green Top will provide selected fly fishing items at raffle with all proceeds being donated to the McGuire VAMC PHWFF and the veterans it serves.
