Last Week at The PHWFF Coatesville VAMC Program:
We hosted 6 vets for a Fly Fishing 101 course at Orvis at Downingtown, PA followed by a sumptuous dinner at Olive Garden. We thank Dan Ogren , Fishing Manager at the Orvis store, for hosting us. When you’re in the Orvis Downingtown Store let Dan know we appreciate his hospitality!
We’ll be enjoying one of our favorite annual outings on Saturday, March 4th. We’ll be joining a busload of our favorite vets from Coatesville, PA for a visit to the The Fly Fishing Show in Lancaster, PA. The bus for the show will leave CVAMC about 9AM and return to Coatesville about 3PM. We need volunteers. We intend to have one volunteer partner with each vet. That means we’ll need about a dozen. Thankfully we now have three female “occasional volunteers” we’ll be asking to go . This should help assure the comfort of any of our female veterans who go on the trip. It would be particularly good to see some of our fishing volunteers from last summer join us on the 4th! I’ll guarantee you’ll love the camaraderie!
