On December 4, 2016 the veteran participants of the PHWFF Jersey Shore program gathered for a regular program meeting to learn, and tie, the Patriot Popper. This beautiful, and effective, pattern was taught by Mr. Harold Eckett and his spouse Deborah. This class was a great kick-off to the fly tying classes to be held during the winter months as the group prepares for abundant fishing opportunities in the springtime.

Harold Eckett is a master fly tier and the owner of NJ Salt Water Flies who generously and selflessly donates his time and talents to support the veterans we serve.  Below are some pictures Deborah Eckett provided of Harold giving some pointers on dressing the Patriot Popper, the Fly Tiers, and a few of the Patriots tied by the group.
