Happy Holidays!

December 23, 2022

As we approach the New Year, I want to express my gratitude for your unwavering support of Project Healing Waters. I’m excited to share some highlights of the past year with you below.

Thank you for generously lending your time and treasure to ensure that our mission to guide the healing journey for our Veterans and military service members continues. Thanks to you, we continue to bring our unique approach to healing to more Veterans in need.

As we reflect on all that we have accomplished in 2022, we are reminded that none of it could have been done without you. On behalf of my staff, our amazing volunteers, and our participants whom we humbly serve – thank you.

I wish all of you safe and Happy Holidays, believing in the hope and promise of the New Year; may it find all of us, who are part of the Project Healing Waters family, continuing to heal those who serve.

Veterans Day: Purpose and Commitment

November 10, 2022

At Project Healing Waters, we believe that every day is Veterans Day. And every day, it’s a privilege to show our appreciation to our Veterans for their service and sacrifice.

President Dwight D. Eisenhower, in his 1960 Proclamation, declared that “the men and women who have served in our armed forces have contributed immeasurably to the preservation of America’s freedom and to the advancement of the goal of world peace” and that “the Nation is eternally grateful to our veterans for these contributions…”

That gratitude is most often expressed with the well-meaning “thank you for your service.” On this Veterans Day, I’d encourage you to take that a step further. Take the time to learn about the service of the ones you thank. Not everyone who served, served in combat. Not everyone deployed. But they all raised their right hand in the same way for the same purpose, and all who served honorably made a commitment that few others have. You should hear their stories.

At Project Healing Waters, we believe that every day is Veterans Day. And every day, it’s a privilege to show our appreciation to our Veterans for their service and sacrifice.

Another way you can say “thank you” is to get involved in a cause or organization that supports Veterans.  At Project Healing Waters, our mission is to bring Veterans together, share stories, mentor and teach, and provide experiences that build resilience, promote wellness and support each of them along their journey of healing.

On behalf of the staff, volunteers and our amazing participants – Happy Veterans Day from Project Healing Waters, and thank you all for your service.
