Proceeds from the benefit game will go to support disabled veterans on their journeys to physical and emotional recovery

January 22, 2019, Tewksbury, Massachusetts – A benefit junior hockey game will be held on Saturday night, February 9, 2019 at the Breakaway Ice Center in Tewksbury, Massachusetts as the Boston Jr. Rangers square off against the New Hampshire Avalanche at 8pm. In addition to some great hockey, the game will serve as a benefit to raise vital funds for the thousands of disabled veterans served annually by Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc. (PHWFF) programs.

Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc. is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans through fly fishing and associated activities including education and outings. PHWFF has become recognized as an innovative leader and model in the field of therapeutic outdoor recreation for the disabled, through its successful application of the sport of fly fishing as a rehabilitation tool

“We are honored by the support of the entire Boston Junior Rangers organization and community. Together we can continue providing our unique form of therapy to those who have served, and sacrificed, for our great Nation. We are looking forward to a great night of hockey!” – Todd Desgrossielliers, President and CEO Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc.

The Boston Junior Rangers are a top Tier III Junior ice hockey organization that plays in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and the Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) divisions.

“We are extremely honored to be playing on behalf of Project Healing Waters and helping support the thousands of disabled veterans that our great nation owes so much to. The reason we are able to play this great game of hockey, or any other freedom that we as a nation are so fortunate to enjoy. is only because of the many sacrifices that our Military Veterans and their families have made for us. We as a national community need to stand and support them as much as we possibly can.” – Rich DeCaprio, Head Coach/GM Boston Jr. Rangers

Tickets for the game can be purchased at the door voluntarily for $5.00. All proceeds go to support the recovery and rehabilitation of our Nation’s disabled veterans through PHWFF. In addition to tickets, the Boston Junior Rangers have also established an online fundraising site to further contribute to those who have made great sacrifices in the service of our Nation.
