The Mossy Creek Invitational, one of Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing’s (PHWFF) premier fundraising events, is a fun fly fishing competition in which PHWFF disabled veteran participants are paired with a sponsor and professional fishing guide for a day of memorable angling on Virginia’s famed Mossy Creek.  Click here to learn more about the Mossy Creek Invitational

Over the past 11 years, Mossy Creek Fly Fishing has generously donated their time and talents in support of the Mossy Creek Invitational and Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc (PHWFF).  Through contributing their professional expertise, local knowledge, and angling prowess, the guides of Mossy Creek Fly Fishing are an integral part of the Mossy Creek Invitational.  We are thrilled, once again, to have them as guides at the 12th Annual Mossy Creek Invitational on June 1, 2019.

Mossy Creek Fly Fishing is a Virginia fly shop, guide service, and school located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley minutes away from spring creek brown trout on the famous Mossy Creek and wild brook trout in the freestone mountain streams of The George Washington National Forest and Shenandoah National Park.

The great contributions and patriotism of Mossy Creek Fly Fishing was recognized in the fall of 2017.  The PHWFF Board of Trustees took great pleasure in presenting the Patriot Award to Mossy Creek Fly Fishing, and its owners, the Trow brothers, for sustained extraordinary service from 2006 to 2017.  The incomparable support afforded to PHWFF over the past 11 years includes many outstanding examples of successful participation and fundraising.  Underlying the incredible services provided by this organization, led by the Trow Brothers, is the unrivaled dedication that all in their shop have demonstrated in helping PHWFF fulfill its mission – everyone – the Trow Brothers, shop staff, their guides, and associated family members. The 12th Annual Mossy Creek Invitational (MCI) benefiting Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc (PHWFF) and the thousands of disabled veterans the organization serves each year will be held on June 1, 2019 in Bridgewater, Virginia.  The event serves as a fun fly fishing competition in which PHWFF veteran participants are paired with a sponsor and professional fly fishing guide for a day of memorable angling on Virginia’s famed Mossy Creek.  For over a decade we have focused on healing those who serve and the MCI serves to raise funds to provide disabled veterans with the support they need on their journeys to recovery.
