We’re pleased to announce that the 2nd Annual Holy Waters Tournament will take place on August 4, 2018 at Gates Au Sable Lodge in Grayling, Michigan. Now in it’s second year, the Holy Waters Tournament is an opportunity for Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing veteran participants, supporters and volunteers to come together for phenomenal trout fishing and fellowship on the beautiful waters of the historic Au Sable River. The Holy Waters Tournament is an event that is instrumental in the continued success of PHWFF programs in the Midwest and across the country.
The Au Sable River is considered one of the best brown trout fisheries east of the Rockies and has been designated a blue ribbon trout stream by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Veteran participants and volunteers, thanks to generosity of the tournament host, Gates Ausable Lodge will have the privilege of fishing the “Holy Waters” section of the river during the tournament on August 4, 2018. This is a section of river steeped in history which offers not only great angling opportunities but also an opportunity to soak in the beautiful surroundings while providing the veteran competitors with a once-in-a-lifetime experience.Following the tournament, a very special fundraising banquet will be held at Gates Lodge on Saturday evening, August 4th, to provide the thousands of veterans served by PHWFF annually with the support they need on their journeys to recovery.
