The 3rd Annual Healing on the Fly – Boston was held on October 22, 2019 at The Seaport Hotel on Boston’s historic waterfront. Presented by Ropes & Gray, the evening brought together Bostonians, New Englanders, veterans, anglers, and advocates for a night of patriotism, support and celebration. The inspiring evening strengthened Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing’s efforts to bring their unique brand of healing to thousands of disabled active military service personnel and disabled veterans throughout the United States.
The evening featured a cocktail hour with silent auction, a special performance by the Greater Boston Firefighters Pipes and Drums band, a seated dinner, and a remarkable short program emceed by Captain Dave Marciano of National Geographic TV’s Wicked Tuna. The program featured PHWFF veteran guest speakers John O’Conner, U.S. Army (ret) and Mark Michaud, U.S. Army (ret), a special presentation of the Phil Johnson Leadership Award to longtime volunteer Bill Manser and a live auction with many unique specialty items.
