Event: 8th Annual Battle at Boxwood
What: cmpetitive fly fishing ONLY for trout (rainbow, brown, cutthrout, cutbow and brook) averaging 16″-22″ and up to 30″ on 3 miles of private water on the north branch of the South Platte River
Why: to support the charitable organization, Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, which benefits recovering wounded US military veterans across North America.
When: July 21, 2018
Where: Boxwood Gulch Ranch, Shawnee CO (50 miles SW of downtown Denver)
Cost: team sponsorship fee of $3,500 includes one person to a full day of guided trout fishing, beverages, dinner/snacks and a complete St. Croix Rod fly-fishing outfit, plus Sponsor provided signage if desired.
Format: 1 day competition comprising of 10 six-man teams (each includes 2 professional guides, sponsor, sports or entertainment celebrity and two recovering wounded veterans)…top 3 teams are determined by the team's total number of trout landed and get trophies/bragging rights!
